Our student loan is not tied to any government or any other organisation. We specially offer this interest-free loan to our full-time students, aged between 17 and 21, who are in need of financial support. For the IT Support course, you are eligible to apply without SPM results. On the other hand, the Software Engineering course requires a minimum of 3Cs in Mathematics, Science and English. Graduate Employment Rate

Our graduate employment rate is as high as 96%. Companies are looking to hire our graduates even before they graduate. We provide interview training classes to improve our students’ capacity to excel during the interviews. These classes offer relevant information to candidates on basic employment law and help you practise how to answer interview questions in the best possible way. Having the desired skills and abilities for an interview can increase your chances of getting hired for the desirable job. We also have a list of companies for them to choose from, but any successful interview will depend on the graduate’s interview performance.

Career Support

We are dedicated to setting students up for success in their career journey. We provide interview training classes to improve our students’ capacity to excel during the interviews. We even require them to answer the lecturers’ questions verbally from the beginning of their course. Furthermore, we recommend a list of companies for them to choose from.

Teaching Language

English plays a crucial role in the IT world, so it will inevitably be our main teaching language. We encourage our students to ask the lecturers clarifying questions if they face any academic difficulties. They can rest assured that our lecturers will try their best to assist them.

Qualification Awarding Bodies

SBIT Training Academy is one of the skills training centres managed by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran Malaysia (JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR). We offer a dual certificate program in two years. Our students can choose either to obtain a certificate issued by a US or local university in addition to a SKM certificate.

SBIT has been collaborating with Global University for Lifelong Learning (GULL) to offer our students a certificate issued by a US university. We partnered with Linton University College, a private local university, later in 2022, providing our students with one more certification body to choose from. We also offer part-time study to fit in your work commitments.

Since our government continues to support technical and vocational education and training (TVET) development, there is an increase in the number of skills training centres, but some of them are not recognised by the government. The ones registered with the Malaysian government are easily distinguishable because they have “edu.my” at the end of their weblink.
Global University for Lifelong Learning is often abbreviated as GULL, a university in the US. GULL has been offering a huge range of vocational courses in Malaysia since 2008. It was endorsed by various Malaysian government departments, including the Ministry of Human Resources and the Ministry of Higher Education. Additionally, it is the only institute in Malaysia that provides Professional Degree vocational courses. The Institution of Engineers Singapore also recognises certificates issued by GULL and thus a GULL certificate holder is eligible for their membership.
There are 2 types of higher education institutions in Malaysia. Firstly, MQA-recognised universities, which are what we are familiar with. They can be easily identified by their focus on theoretical knowledge. Since they are regulated by MQA, therefore there are specific entry requirements for these universities.

Secondly, skills training centres managed by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran Malaysia (JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR). Our college is one of these centres. Vocational training focuses on job-specific skills training, making the classes more interactive. Our courses are specifically designed to offer in-demand skills. Besides that, we focus on our student’s growth holistically.

Admission Requirements

English plays a crucial role in the IT world, so it will inevitably be our main teaching language. Even if you have a bad command of English, don’t fret, it will not affect your studies here at SBIT. In fact, the students can quickly adapt to the learning environment since Chinese students constitute 98% of our total student population, and our lecturers are able to converse in Chinese, or simple English and Malay. We encourage our students to ask the lecturers clarifying questions if they face any academic difficulties. They can rest assured that our lecturers will try their best to assist them.
Student’s academic results are not part of our Professional Diploma or Professional Skilled Diploma courses entry requirements, as long as you are 16 and above you are eligible to enrol for any of the two following courses:
1. Professional / Professional Skilled Diploma in IT Support
2. Professional / Professional Skilled Diploma in Software Engineering
Our teaching method is suitable for all age groups. However, taking into account that those below the age of 15 may not have the capacity to discern carefully, we encourage them to sign up for our trial class before the actual classes commence to help both the students and ourselves understand each other better. We understand that it’s saddening for parents to see their child give up on the typical high school education. Therefore, we want to ensure that our teaching method is agreeable to the parents and the students before they officially join our college.
